Kempus Bed
The Kempus Bed is a practical, budget-friendly solid wood bed frame built from kempus (kempas) — a hardwood widely used in Sri Lanka as an affordable alternative to teak. The bed has a clean, modern silhouette that looks tidy in any bedroom: a low solid headboard with a softly sloped top edge, a matching low footboard, and sturdy square legs that lift the frame to a comfortable mattress height.
The whole frame is finished in a deep reddish-brown tone that highlights the natural grain of kempus wood. The solid wood slat base is designed to support a standard mattress directly, with no box spring needed.
As a budget-tier bed, the Kempus offers good value for everyday use — strong enough for daily use, light enough on the wallet, and a sensible pick for first homes, guest rooms, children's rooms, hostels, and rental properties. Available in single and double sizes.

Care Instructions
Dust the wood frame regularly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth along the grain. For deeper cleaning, wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately — never let water sit on the surface. Apply a wood polish or furniture wax every 6–12 months to keep the finish looking fresh. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight and high humidity. Check frame joints periodically and tighten any fasteners that may have loosened with use. Avoid jumping or excessive bouncing on the bed.
