The Burutha Bed is a practical, budget-friendly solid wood bed frame made from burutha, a Sri Lankan hardwood (East Indian satinwood) known for its honey-blonde colour and fine grain. The bed has a clean, classical silhouette: a softly arched solid headboard topped with neatly turned corner posts, a matching solid footboard with the same turned-post detail, and sturdy square legs that lift the frame to a comfortable mattress height.
The warm, light burutha finish brings a bright, airy character to the bedroom and pairs well with both classic and contemporary décor. The solid wood slat base supports a standard mattress directly, with no box spring needed.

Care Instructions
Dust the wood frame regularly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth along the grain. For deeper cleaning, wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately, never let water sit on the surface. Apply a wood polish or furniture wax every 6–12 months to keep the finish looking fresh. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight and high humidity. Check frame joints periodically and tighten any fasteners that may have loosened with use. Avoid jumping or excessive bouncing on the bed.
